This approach is not new; it is deeply rooted in the timeless wisdom of the Torah. Our tradition commands us to pursue truth (Emet) and justice (Tzedek), and it gives us the tools to do so. As King Solomon taught in Proverbs:
“The simple believes everything, but the prudent gives thought to their steps.” (Proverbs 14:15)

However, our love for our people does not require blind allegiance to the political actions of any government. In the spirit of Torah, we believe in the moral and intellectual duty to evaluate all things with honesty and nuance. To blindly follow—or blindly reject—any entity is to abandon the critical thinking our tradition demands.
