Who is LoMer?
In a world of noise, LoMer is a voice for clarity. He is a Jewish educator and thought leader dedicated to bridging timeless Torah wisdom with the complexities of the modern world, offering a perspective urgently needed in our time.
The name LoMer is an acronym and a mission statement, derived from his name: Loew (Hebrew for ‘lion’), Semere (a name rooted in the idea ‘to sow’), and Moreh (Hebrew for ‘teacher’). His goal is to teach with the strength of a lion and to sow seeds of truth.
A Bridge Between Worlds
A proud, observant Jew, LoMer’s identity is a beautiful mosaic of the Jewish diaspora and beyond. His mother, an Israeli, carried the rich heritage of both Persian and Kavkaz (Mountain) Jews from Baghdad. His father, a Creole man of French and Nigerian descent, was a U.S. Army Special Forces soldier who, by the grace of Heaven (Be’ezrat Hashem), met his mother while on patrol in Jerusalem (Yerushalayim). From his righteous father, LoMer learned the profound humility, honesty, and giving spirit that shapes his character.
The Turning Point: A Mitzvah That Changed Everything
LoMer was not raised observant. His journey into a life of Torah was ignited by a moment of profound loss and unexpected grace.
When his mother, Rina bat David (of blessed memory), passed away, his family’s landlord who was also a Rabbi and his community—total strangers to the family—stepped in. They handled the entire funeral process with immense love and care, covering all costs and organizing everything, simply because she was a fellow Jew.
Confused and moved by this selfless generosity, LoMer asked the Rabbi why they would do all this for someone they never met. The Rabbi’s answer was his first true lesson in Torah: “This is a mitzvah,” he explained. “An act of connection. Every person here is doing this not for thanks on Earth, but for the sake of their portion in the World to Come (Olam HaBa).”
That single moment revealed the living, breathing heart of Judaism and set LoMer on a lifelong path of learning and living.
The Mission of Seal The Truth
From this journey, Seal The Truth was born. LoMer is dedicated to bringing Torah teachings to light in a way that is authentic, intellectually rigorous, and speaks to people of all backgrounds. He believes that living a vibrant Torah lifestyle is not in conflict with living in our beautiful, modern world, but is the very tool that allows us to navigate it with purpose and clarity.
